Utilize The Disneyland Resort App
1. straight to the gate no wait

You get up early, rush to the resort, park your car and make it to the esplanade just on your scheduled time. and BOOM. You see the insane lines at the ticket booth.

Most don't think purchasing their entry ticket will be a lengthy process, but once standing there for up to 45+ minutes, one can only dream of a FastPass Line.
Save your Time purchase your tickets/park hoppers on the The DISNEYLAND RESORT APP (available for Apple and Android users)
There your ticket will be just one convenient touch away.
With it being preloaded on to your smart phone just walk right up to the gate, and there The Cast member will scan, and print your ticket, right at the turnstile! This will get you enjoying the parks as quickly as possible.
tackle the park one 'land' at a time
2.Handle the Land with a Game Plan

Hopping around from one end to the park to the other can really eat up your time, try to handle one land at a time! Do the attractions you want to in the order thats nearest to you. This way you efficiantly travel around the park with no fuss!
Me and my family like to go clock wise around the park, or vice versa!
Take a break
3.soak in Disney, without sensory overLOAD

I know, I know, taking a break at Disneyland seems like a waste of time, BUT it is a smart choice to wind down at least mid day. But don't let this tip get you fooled we still encourage you to soak in some Disney while doing so. Maybe during snack time, or even lunch go sit in some of these 'lower key' spots away from the usual eating areas and just enjoy the calm sights and sounds and most importantly the quiet, to recharge that Disney battery you'll need for the second half of your day!
Here are some suggestions:

Fantasia Gardens: remember the motor boast cruise? well it is now a good resting area located just by the Matterhorn

Paradise Pier Lagoon: World of color viewing area is surprising a low populated wide area, and doubles as a beautiful photo opportunity!

Under Silly Symphony swings: (one one my favorites). It is shaded and has a beautiful view of lagoon and mickeys fun wheel as well!

Hungry Bear: just down stairs you are right next to the waters of Rivers of America, and you usually get a visit from some feathered friends.
All New Digital Fast Pass options
4. Paper Fast passes are so 2016

Being introduced this year is the chance to take your Fast Passes digital, with MaxPass. Now you can get your spot on line all on your smart phone without the trip to the fast pass kiosk machines. As well as free Photo Pass downloads for the day. However, it is avaible for an introductory price of 10$ a day.
But, if that seems steep, the original system will apply with no extra charge. But keep in mind that the fast pass system is your best friend and can really minimize your time in line.
-also goes with Tip#2 with working with whats around you because again you will not have to make the unnecessary trip.
-you also won't have to race in line to get your fast pass for those extra popular attractions that run out fairly early in the day.

Last show but not certainly not Least
4.Always Always Always wait for the second show.
The science of doing Night time spectaculars are an entirely bigger topic, in need of its very own tips list. But if there is anything I have learned over the years that is to wait for the second showing, if they are scheduled!
If camping out for 3+ hours is not your thing, don't worry! Most guest wait hours upon hours for a spot to view Night time Parades, but the second showing are usually 1-2 hours after the first, and about 50% less crowded! 30 minutes(45 to be safe) before the show you are usually golden to find a good spot! SO, go on that extra ride (or 2)! most people are watching the shows anyways, so you know what that means! LESS LINES! win win!
Fantasmic(coming back this summer) and World of color, do apply to this as well, although required a show pass if you get your pass for the second showing you'll have less people to dodge around than 1st showing.
-also going back to tip #4, you can get your show passes digitally as well. (bonus points)
"HUNNY, Did you pack patience before we left?"
- "No dear, i seemed to have left it at home"
Tip #6. Disneyland will never be complete
Ahhh, New Year New ME! well Disneyland seems to have the same concept this upcoming 2017. A lot of Construction is going on at this time which means a lot of Magic is being put to a screeching halt!
Remember to bring along some patience and manage your exceptions when traveling to the Disneyland Resort this year. Some parts of the parks are closed and some attractions are being re-imagineered!
